Planning Checklists
The more experienced you are, the more you run into the risk of becoming too relaxed and forgetting to organise or pack something important. This is why all pilots use checklists for every takeoff, landing and emergency. It makes flying much safer. Checklists help you get organised without needing your brain to keep thinking through everything over and over again. Checklists can also be updated, allowing you to benefit from the experiences of others you have never met.
Checklists help most people most of the time. Do take time to think what these checklists do not cover for you and your specific group needs, and write down what extra steps you wish to take.
